Lights on, Hope In- Utility Relief Campaign
Purpose:
Raises emergency funds to assist families facing utility shutoffs (electricity, water, gas).
How it works:
Community members can sponsor a family's light bill or donate in honor of a loved one. Churches, schools, and businesses are encouraged to host "Lights On" giving days to raise funds and awareness.
Why it matters:
Something as simple as keeping the lights on can restore stability and dignity to a household in crisis.
Shelter the Soul- Housing Crisis Fund
Purpose:
Provides urgent financial help to prevent eviction or secure temporary shelter for homeless families.
How it works:
Donors contribute monthly or one-time gifts towards rent deposits, emergency hotel stays, and shelter placement. Includes partnerships with landlords willing to offer flexible housing solutions.
Why it matters:
No one should have to choose between sleeping in their car or staying in an unsafe environment. This fund ensures families can rest, regroup, and rebuild.
The Blessing Box Drive
Purpose:
Provides food, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and baby essentials to families in need.
How it works:
Volunteers and local organizations collect or sponsor care packages. Items are distributed directly to families during crisis appointments or community outreach events.
Why it matters:
The basic necessities are often overlooked, yet they make a huge difference during times of instability.
Faith Through the Fire Benefit Concert
Purpose:
An uplifting annual fundraiser event featuring local gospel artists, testimonies, and worship to raise funds and inspire hope.
How it works:
Tickets and sponsors help fund emergency assistance programs. The event also allows former clients to share how support from AHOF changed their lives.
Why it matters:
Music and ministry bring people together. This event celebrates God's goodness while raising essential resources.
Walk With Hope- Community Awareness Walk
Purpose:
Raise awareness for homelessness, domestic abuse, and housing insecurity.
How it works:
A 1-3 mile walk through Wilson with t-shirts, signs, and sponsorships Walkers gather pledges, and proceeds go directly to our emergency housing fund.
Why it matters:
This walk not only raises funds- it gives a voice to the unheard and reminds our community that we walk together though crisis.
Table of Grace- Community Dinner Fundraiser
Purpose:
Builds connection through shared meals while raising funds for A Hope of Faith programs.
How it works:
Churches, businesses, and volunteers host dinners where each plate served supports a family in crisis. Special speakers and testimonies add a personal touch.
Why it matters:
There is something sacred about breaking bread with your neighbors. Every meal helps feed hope into a family's future.
